Appetizer Recipes : Blue Cheese Garlic Cheese Spread
Published on Wed Dec 14, 2005 11:19 am

This is sure to become a holiday favorite and has been kept secret by my family far too long.

4 oz Crumbled Blue cheese- I have found that Prima Della brand provides the most flavor
8 oz Cream Cheese
1 Tablespoon Mayo
About 1 to 2 Tablespoons Milk just enough to get a creamy consistency
Garlic salt to taste

Leave the Cream Cheese out while working with the Blue Cheese so it can start to soften. With a sturdy fork start mashing the Blue Cheese. Add a little milk to help get it smooth. When you have all the lumps broken apart add the Cream Cheese. Mix and start mashing again. Add the mayo and continue to mash. It will be quite a workout but it will get smooth and cream. If needed add more milk. You want this to be good and garlicky and this is where we add some garlic salt mix it in and taste it. Keep doing it until you have got the right taste. Serve with crackers. This is sure to be a hit at any party.
