Main Dishes- recipes : Easy Spaghetti Sauce

Impress your family and friends with the easy and delicious spaghetti sauce.

1 pound ground beef
1 pack of Italian Sausage (5 links)
1 onion, minced
1- 46 oz can tomato juice
2- 6 oz cans tomato paste
1- 16 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 cup Burgundy wine
1 1/2 tablespoons dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried basil
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons garlic salt
1/2 cup white sugar

Directions
1. In a large pot combine minced garlic, onion and ground beef. Use your spatula to chop up the ground beef into fine pieces (do not leave large clumps).
2. Once the beef is fully cooked add garlic salt, oregano, parsley and basil. Stir to blend ingredients. Now add your tomato juice, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, wine and sugar. Stir to blend ingredients. Add your Italian sausage and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 hours uncovered. Only cover the pot if the sauce starts to become too thick.
3. Serve over pasta.

**Note: If you do not want to use wine substitute the same amount of water**
